A view from every room
Pull back any curtain in the lodge and Windrush Lake is there — still, silver, and yours before anyone else is up.
Windrush Lake · sleeps 6 · dogs welcome
The turret lodge — three storeys of Cape-Cod style on the water's edge, with a lake view waiting behind every bedroom door.

Picture your stay
You'll spot the shingled turret before anything else. Inside, three storeys stack up from the water's edge, and each of the three bedrooms keeps its own view over Windrush Lake.
The wrap-around deck is where your stay actually happens: the jacuzzi hot tub steaming by the rail, dinner on the gas BBQ, and carp rising on the lake a rod's length away — the fishing here is free. Beds can be joined or split to suit your group, and the kayak is ready whenever you are.
A day at Grey Heron
Pull back any curtain in the lodge and Windrush Lake is there — still, silver, and yours before anyone else is up.
Carp fishing off the deck is free — or take the kayak out, arrange a paddleboard, and let the afternoon disappear on the water.
BBQ on the deck in summer, candlelight in the living room in winter — and the hot tub under the stars in any season at all.

Good to know
From our guest book
"We had such an enjoyable stay at Grey Heron Lodge — the perfect birthday getaway with my family. The property was spotlessly clean, beautifully presented, and honestly it's even more lovely in person. Janice and Ed were wonderful hosts."

The hardest part is choosing
Fair warning: our guests agonise over this. Green Woodpecker Lodge is the light-filled family one on Isis Lake, with a sun-soaked living room and the playground close by.
Same hot tub, same kayak, same lakes. Grey Heron is the architectural one with water on three sides; Green Woodpecker is the easy, open family base with the lake-view master. There's no wrong answer — only a different view to wake up to.
