Frequently asked questions

Grey Heron Lodge is 3pm check-in, Green Woodpecker Lodge is 4pm. Both are 10am check-out. Our cleaning team aim to have the lodge ready ahead of these times, but this can't be guaranteed, and regrettably we're unable to offer a late check-out.
We offer Monday to Friday 4-night stays, Friday arrivals for 2 or 3 nights, or 7-night stays arriving Mondays or Fridays.
Yes. There's no allocated space, but generally enough room for 2 or 3 cars to park by each lodge.
Yes, we allow up to 2 well-behaved dogs per lodge, with a fee — just add this as an extra on the booking page. We ask that you comply with the lodge dog policy and keep dogs on leads while on site.
Children over 12 can use the hot tub, but it's not suitable for those younger than 12.
Yes, of course — up to four but we can't allow more than 6 adults to stay overnight, or use the hot tub.
Yes, beds can be joined together or split as required, for a fee — please add this as an extra on the booking page.
Both lodges have gas barbecues, and we provide the gas for you to use.
Yes, it's free, but you'll need a valid rod licence and a site permit. The permit can be collected from the security hut. Windrush Lake is stocked with carp, and Isis Lake with trout and carp.
No, it's first come, first served for the three tennis courts — one is flood-lit. Each lodge is equipped with a few rackets and balls for you to use.
Yes — the kayak on Windrush Lake, fishing on the three lakes, tennis courts, playground and football pitch are all free. There's also a free table tennis pavilion (we provide rackets, balls and equipment), and a games room with pool tables and table football that takes coins.
Yes, there are a few local companies who can arrange this for you.
Sorry, no — the nearest charging point is at the DeVere Hotel, a 5 to 10 minute walk across the road.
Yes — there are three pubs in South Cerney, a 10 to 15 minute walk away, and the Old Boathouse restaurant is 5 to 10 minutes on foot. There's also a pizza takeaway nearby.
Yes, Tesco, Waitrose and Ocado all deliver to the site. There are also several supermarkets in nearby Cirencester, a 10 minute drive away.
No, but there are two convenience stores in South Cerney, a 10 to 15 minute walk away, and a number of supermarkets in Cirencester, a 10 minute drive away.
Yes, each lodge has a travel cot, but you'll need to bring your own bedding for it.

The fine print

Terms and conditions

  • A deposit of £100 is required.
  • The deposit is non-refundable according to the cancellation conditions.
  • Full booking balance must be paid 60 days before arrival.
  • Payments by PayPal, and the following cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express.
  • We reserve the right to temporarily hold an amount prior to arrival.
  • There is a key safe at the front door for contact-free check-in.
  • On your day of arrival a security deposit of £300 will be required before your key code is released. This will generally be in the form of a pre-authorisation to the credit card you originally paid on.
  • If a booking is cancelled less than 60 days before arrival then a charge equal to the full booking amount will be made.
  • If the booking is cancelled 60 or more days before arrival then a charge equal to £100.00 will be made.
  • In the event of a no show or booking reduction (after arrival date) the full cost of the booking is charged.
