Coffee by the water
Nespresso in hand, herons working the reeds, and the turquoise of Isis Lake barely moving. No rush — nothing here starts without you.
Isis Lake · sleeps 6 · dogs welcome
The bright family lodge — patio doors open to the deck, the hot tub steams by the water, and the lake starts where your morning coffee ends.

Picture your stay
You'll open the curtains of the master bedroom to water. Downstairs, a generous, light-filled living and dining room waits with patio doors that fold the lodge open onto the deck.
Breakfast happens outside when the weather's kind — the table and chairs face the lake, the Nespresso machine keeps pace, and the jacuzzi hot tub is a few steps from the kitchen. Your two-person kayak is a few minutes' stroll away on Windrush Lake, and the playground, tennis courts and football pitch are close enough for the kids to burn off breakfast.
A day at Green Woodpecker
Nespresso in hand, herons working the reeds, and the turquoise of Isis Lake barely moving. No rush — nothing here starts without you.
Take the kayak out, cast a line for trout on Isis, book a paddleboard with a local operator — or just claim a tennis court.
The BBQ does the cooking, the hot tub does the rest. Watch the sun drop behind the water from the warmest seat in Gloucestershire.

The hardest part is choosing
Fair warning: our guests agonise over this. Grey Heron Lodge is the Cape-Cod one — three storeys, a shingled turret, and lake views from every single bedroom.
Same hot tub, same kayak, same lakes. Green Woodpecker is the bright, family-friendly one close to the playground; Grey Heron is the architectural one with free carp fishing right off the deck. There's no wrong answer — only a different view to wake up to.
